Attention Wilson Area School District Families. The Wilson Area School District received a PreK Counts Expansion Grant to provide more children with quality PreK instruction with no fee or cost to the parent.  The District has once again partnered with Lehigh Valley Children’s Center to offer this FREE Pre-K Counts Program.
This grant funded program is for children who are one to two years before Kindergarten age (3-4 year olds) and are
income-eligible (at or below 300 percent of the federal poverty guidelines - approximately $79,500 for a family of four).  The program will be held at Avona and Wilson Borough Elementary Schools. If you are interested in starting the registration process or getting more information, please go to and complete the short survey. This will begin the process.

You should receive an email from LVCC within a week after submission. This Pre-K Counts program will be held during the 2021-2022 school year (late August to early June) from 9:15 am - 2:15 pm at Avona and Wilson Borough Elementary Schools. Due to the expansion, there is still room for enrollments for this school year.

An open enrollment event will be held in the Avona Elementary gym on Tuesday, September 14th from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm.  Please enter through the gym door off the entrance in the back of the school.
