Wilson Area Partners in Education Foundation
is seeking an Executive Director

Wilson Area School District Partners in Education Foundation seeks an individual with a visionary mindset who can both think creatively to develop and plan for upcoming virtual and live foundation fundraising and community building events while growing and maintaining relationships with individuals and businesses in our community. This contract opportunity would challenge the candidate to assess past timelines, events, and strategies and formulate a plan and develop goals to move the foundation forward related to: fundraising, identification and securing of sponsorship partners, and community visibility. This individual would report to and work closely with the foundation board and school district administration.

Seeking candidates with a passion for education and nonprofits, who have past experience in fundraising, community partnerships/relationship management, annual campaign and sponsorship package development, oversight and execution of events and are social media savvy. Experience with Educational Improvement Tax Credits (EITC) a plus.

Main responsibilities:

1. Strategic Plan Development for:

  • annual giving campaign
  • expansion of sponsorship partners
  • determining best fundraising events and annual calendar
  • stewardship toward donors

2. Fundraising:

  • Following strategic development, plan and execute annual events calendar with help of foundation board members
  • Secure donations through appeals and sponsor development packages -Apply for related local, state, and federal grants

3. Promotion:

  • Through annual events, increase visibility in community
  • Promote events and campaigns via social media outlets, email communication, and annual report
  • Development of stewardship programs and methods

4. Administration:

  • Related to planning and execution of events
  • Related to donor and sponsor communication and record keeping
  • Related to grant writing, annual campaign communication, and social media updates 

Other details:

  • This part-time position is contract opportunity with opportunity for bonus based on performance metrics. Salary commensurate with experience.
  • Hours per week will vary depending on the time of the year and events that may be happening. Hours may range between 5 and 25 hours.
  • Individual will work from home, in the community, be able to travel to visit donors/sponsors, etc, and would have access to Wilson Area School District Administrative office equipment
